The Atri Cup, as by experts defined, is a mini Olympics which for 31 years hosts in Atri hundreds of young athletes coming from various regions of Italy and from many different Countries. Boys and girls of different races, cultures and languages, who come together in Atri to compete but also to meet, to forge bonds of friendship to compare styles and ways of living and thinking, but above all to boost with a heartfelt message of world peace.
The manifestation brings together the major sporting disciplines (football, basketball, volleyball, tennis, baseball, futsal, artistic gymnastics, martial arts) and is dedicated to young athletes aged from 6 to 18 years, with male and female categories. Each year, the Atri Cup pays particular attention to the world of the disability with specific sports like torball and archery for blind and partially sighted people. In the last seven editions of the Atri Cup were awarded by the President of the Italian Republic with medals and silver cups.
Friendship, solidarity, the yearning for peace are values that characterize the Atri Cup, which connote and make it unique, and that more and more qualify as an event of a great prestige sporting, in social and cultural development.
